PPStream: Best P2P TV ever!!

Thanks to recommendation from a couple of friends, I've discovered this amazing software where there are TONS of movies, TV series etc that are practically inexhaustible for the rest of your life! And best of all, it's virus-free! (according to them) I'm not much of a techie and I'm terribly afraid to download movies online so this is pretty much the best solution!

To download click here.

The only downside to it is that it's all in mandarin, so if you're mandarin illiterate or your computer is (thanks to WY who helped me fix this.. I had no idea what she did to my laptop though) then unfortunately you can't watch it, so here's thanks to mom and dad, and Hin Hua and Kwang Hua ^^

Cover of Cover of Bolt

Just watched Bolt & Coraline from PPstream. Bolt was pretty funny, with really cute pets, and Coraline was mysterious and hauntingly alluring; eg Pan's Labyrinth + Corpse Bride (it's a stop-motion movie)

To search for the movies on PPStream, type 闪电狗 (Bolt) or
鬼妈妈卡罗琳 (Coraline)

Sis is coming back this afternoon with bf James (Sis just flew back from London this morning o.O)

Garden, say Gaaar-Duhn

That was the first word that I taught baby Jaz 2 days ago!

And heck, I never realized taking care of a baby for 4 hrs straight with my mom can be more tiring than going from Klang to Subang to Puduraya and back again in one day. It's like I don't even dare lose sight of her for one second, just in case she puts anything dangerous, or gross, (like poop!) into her mouth...

I digress but seriously! My bro (Jaz's dad), found me once holding my own poop-filled diaper in my hands looking pretty perplexed in my baby years. But what I did with it remains a mystery till now :)

My parents entertaining the baby.. The camera in my samsung phone takes a while to capture the image, hence the blurriness

To prove that babies look a lot larger in photos.

Trying to mencungkil her bakat at piano, but apparently she was more interested in pulling the music book off the piano. For me to pick it up and put it back up again. I believe she might be secretly mocking me for being such a slave to her.

Finally! The baby falls asleep.

Aww my first camwhore session with Jaz! Lesson #2 should be about staring straight into the camera and stop fidgeting

Caught with her clothes off! Oh, the obscenity! The vulgarity!

I just found this exceptionally sweet =) Jaz on her dad's shoulders.

So anyway, Happy Chinese New Year everyone! May the married be more generous with angpows and the rest be on a 拜年 (bai nian/pay New Year Calls) frenzy and soak in the seasonal cheer (though that phrase sounds so Christmassy)

AND AND.

Oh ya remember I wanted to start a wordpress blog? It's ALMOST ready... go check it out at tzehui.wordpress.com and tell me what you think!

Please help me....

...get richer ^^

Anyone who has friends or friend's friends who wants to study at Inti College Subang Jaya? Please leave a comment!

Muhaha yes if I recommend a student I get RM 500! But of course I'll split 50:50 la :)

Actually the more popular pre-u choice at Inti would be AUP (american university programme) but classes for A-levels are not bad too (honestly some of them WANTED to study SAM at Taylors but not enough $$ ka-ching)

The bright side of studying AUP is that you'll have TONS of friends from different classes, unlike A-levels, which is pretty much like form 6, minus the uniform. And an easier syllabus.

Well it really depends where you want to study after your pre-u course (but of course there are 3+0 programmes for AUP too) and how much can you afford.

So if you're interested (or know anyone who is) please come on 20th/21st dec (it's our open day) and please tell me! 'cause i have to come along to earn my RM 500. Ok la the RM 250 :P

College + Sunway Pyramid

A few days ago Suat Hoon and I went back to college to borrow some reference books... for revision (but they are till now sitting quietly on my study table, accumulating dust. so much for the revision.)

Guess what? The Inti new building is under renovation! Again! (and sad to say, the cafeteria is STILL smaller than Kwang Hua girls' toilet. We have a bigger place to pee than to eat. -_-") Maybe since it has been bought over by the Laureate International Universities... read more here.

Oh we also borrowed our Stats textbook for next sem! And hog the book for the whole sem so we can save money buying it, plus it was the last book left on the rack. Which increased our level of satisfaction of getting to it in time :P

After that we took the bas mini to Sunway Pyramid for some shopping!!!

More accurately, window shopping la.

We headed for Asian Avenue (which some people deem as the lala-ish place) and bought nothing. We headed for all shops with SALE! screaming on their countless posters/banners and still got nothing.

By that time my hands (and Suat Hoon's) super itchy already. We wanted to buy some stuff but there was nothing suitable! I really don't understand how people can just spend RM100++ in a day! How can they see so many things that they like and just BUY them?

Ok la, if I had legs that stretched a mile long & nice arms & C-cup boobs & a flat tummy then different la. 'Cause by then everything will look good on me and I would probably buy everything.

So anyway to cut the story short Suat Hoon finally got a pair of really nice shoes!

At ruffey id; RM 50 after 10% discount; if you buy another item then both will have 30% discount... I looked through all the clothes & bag & shorts & pants but didn't find anything that I liked... So Suat Hoon had to stick with the 10% discount. But don't you think they're really, really nice? (Haha sometimes I sound like SUCH a bimbo. With low level of IQ and limited vocabulary.)

And oh ya our lunch; at Ajisen Ramen.
Deluxe chicken katsu set- RM 14.80

California maki- RM 8

And oh an extra info courtesy of Sweat! Jogoya at Starhill Gallery is having promotion for LADIES only!!! 50% off!! and Sweat said it was really worth it... They have Haagen Daaz ice cream, white wine, red wine, and just everything nice! Only till this friday!

Mushi Mushi, wanna have some sushi? (lame but hey, it rhymes)

My mom and I made sushi 2 days ago, and honestly it didn't taste as good as the 1st time we did it... We really had beginner's luck back then... T.T

Here's how we did it: (recipe from the 1st time)

Note: This serves 4 people. We bought the sushi making set at Jusco; costs about RM 31. If you buy that you just need to buy the Japanese rice and your fillings.

Materials:
  • Bamboo roller
  • 5 pieces of seaweed
  • 250g of Japanese rice
  • Fillings (Crabsticks, cucumber, carrots etc; whatever you like)
  • A tablespoon of salt
  • A teaspoon of sugar
  • 75ml of vinegar

1. Dissolve the salt, sugar and vinegar in a bowl.
2. Wash the rice, then cook it with 500ml of water. (and no less! or else the rice will be quite hard)
3. Mix the vinegar solution with the cooked rice and leave it to cool. You can fan it to make the surface glossy.
4. Start wrapping!
Leave the shiny side of the seaweed down and spread the rice till there's only 1/2 inch left at the top. After you cut them into pieces you'll get...

Voila! Tasty sushi ^^

Any recommendations to make it even more delicious?

Welcome...

to the new colour and header of A Dreamer's Sketchbook!

Is it easier to read my posts now that the background is white?

And simple as it seems, i used a whopping 2 hours to edit that header! Thanks to my "superb" skills at Photoshop -_-"

But anyway I'm planning to move to a newer site where I can write password protected posts :P

Yes you got it--> Wordpress.

As long as it loads faster... unlike Xanga (oops!)

Tested--(but not that true) How to get that perfect body!

We girls never seem to ever get satisfied of ourselves, be it our weight, height (this one for me of course la! I just got my height measured this morning:149.8cm; so short how to be happy?) complexion... especially weight!

~Me and the tallest guy in class...He's about 185cm if I'm not wrong :P~

I really don't understand girls who look like stick insects complain that they're "on the plump side". Seriously. The conversation usually goes on like this:

Me: *pinches flabby arms* awh I think I need to eat less... If I slim down to your size I'll be satisfied...

Skinny Gal: What? I'm very fat la, look at all the fats! *pinches bony arms*

Me: No la you're not fat at all, if you're fat I'm obese lo...

Skinny Gal: Very fat le..

*similar conversation capable of going on for decades*

I reckon they're really delusional. It's like a chameleon complaining that it never blends into the environment... -_-"

So here are solutions that my (skinny but think they're fat) friends at college do to slim down...even more...

  1. Cut down on rice. Or stop eating rice altogether. Eat more protein if you're really hungry. There's really some science to it too--excess protein just turns into pee but excess carbs will deposit as fatty layers! I'm not too crazy about rice but I just love bread. All sorts of it. It'll kill me to give up bread. But i read somewhere that people who love bread have high sex drive. I was like huh? So not true le. I'm a very non-hormonal teenager. I think.

  2. Squeeze out all the oil from food. I have a friend that basically eats "yao zha guai" (translation: fried ghost...?) with tissue... So she'll compress the food with tissue to suck up all the oil. But to me it looks too flattened to be appetizing anymore. Not applicable to all sorts of food anyway. Might as well line the wall of your mouth with oil absorbers (detachable ones of course) to obtain maximum effect :P

  3. Do exercise la, duh. But if you're lazy to do competitive sport like badminton, squash etc, hula hooping is a good choice... Here's a clip of Kaykay hula hooping and blowing a balloon at the same time... psst. She's one of those complaining being fat. See for yourselves... (sorry ah I don't know how to turn the movie over...)

  4. Mix around people who don't eat much. Peer pressure ma. I would feel so left out if I was wolfing down some Mcdonald burger if everyone was just having Diet Coke..? (unfortunately) all my friends have extremely good appetite...*sob* but they're great fun though ('cause they do read my blog).. no la just kidding :)

  5. Don't bathe right after you eat. I read somewhere that it'll obstruct the digestive system or something..(This may just be some superstition but no harm trying eh?)

The only ones that I really do now are no. 3 & no.5 (haha yeah I believe almost anything, I know).

And I am really on the plump side. Honest.

But sometimes I do hope I'm a teensy bit delusional. That the fats are not real and I'm just fantasizing.

Or simply that I have faulty mirrors at home :)

New haircut

Certain people seem to have a sort of emotional attachment to their hair... but I'm okay la. On a sudden urge I just mentioned I wanted short hair for a change, and my classmate Suzanne offered to do it for me! Introducing:

The hair stylist!

Haha in case you're wondering where I did my haircut, it was at college. Before, during and after class ;P

Side and back views:
Suzanne has not received any professional training but she's pretty good at it don't you think? So thanks again Suzanne!

~Suzanne and her FOC customers (yeah, Lih yi on the right had her hair cut by Suzanne too!)~

Bye bye long hair!

I've decided to...

Add book reviews to my blog! (other than the usual intellectual chatterings)
and sorry for my lack of posts these few weeks--caused by none other than the big great SPM TRIAL exam!!!

Did you know that our school gives away RM 100 to 10 highest-scorers for EVERY subject? Plus, the student who gets 1st placing (calculated using total average marks) gets RM 1000!!! (one for Sc stream, the other for Accts stream)

As you know, money is important. (Money is not everything, it's the only thing--> quoted in my last post)

So it wouldn't hurt to work harder since cold, hard $$ is at stake... right?

Ok, I digress...

So, what was I saying? Oh yeah, writing book reviews comments on books that I've read (not necessarily enjoyed)

Check out my next post for it!

Librainy's Art of Finding

Arghh!!! I misplaced my (v.important!) essay book... But remember, under such situations,

Rule #1: act calm and oblivious.
Rule # 2: Don't EVER freak out.
Rule # 3: Stop looking for it.
Rule # 4: Obey the first 3 rules!

You know why?

It KNOWS. Yes, it knows you're looking for it and it won't materialize until you stop! This is based on my experience in looking for my previous missing objects, e.g. my glasses, the telephone (gasp!), books, money (but I found it already! Don't think you're THAT lucky) etc.

Sometimes it's just a matter of your own foolishness (like looking for your wristwatch when you're actually wearing it?) -- obviously I've never experienced THAT before(simply bragging); but sometimes it's just lost amid the massive clutter from the bedroom door all the way to the bed.

So, what about my essay book? I think I'll go medidate and hopefully it'll de-camouflage itself... (it better! or not I'll just have to tell teacher that my dog ate my homework)
