The great de-depression

With the outbreak of swine flu & economy crisis & all depressing news once you turn on the tv/read papers the main actor from korean drama Goong was on drugs too! OMG we are so getting revelations on the dark side of asian entertainment industry

Why don't you watch this video? All my bulu roma stood up... delightful!

KL-ang Wantan Mee still rocks!!!

My monotonous "study physicschemistrybiologymathsstatistics-cum-raid the fridge-cum-mope around the house-cum-stare at my tonsils" break (*pants feverishly) was finally deviated for a moment yesterday; We (parents & I) went to get our US visas done at the US Embassy, Jln Tun Razak, KL.

{Waiting for our turn outside the embassy... After that you need to get scanned and handphones were not allowed (calculators (!) too) hence the lack of pictures}

Our appointment was at 10am; we arrived at around 9 but there were lots of people waiting already. And you have to be "interviewed" before they take your VISA application into consideration!

So I was thinking my parents' would be a breeze (eg they don't look like people who will end up as US illegal immigrants right)... but I was worried about mine, initially.

Cause last time we went to the US (together with my elder sis), they stopped her at immigration and took her to another site for further questioning... Most probably worried that she would do any illegal stuff at the US.

But my worry was short lived as I wasn't suspected at all! (but a tad bit disappointed too; I'm not attractive enough to be suspected; I guess the most I'll ever qualify is for child labour *whimpers*)

Later we headed to Petaling Street (Chee Cheong Gai) on a food hunting saga...

Famous Muah Chee that comes in 6 different flavours... Tastes best when eaten fresh! RM 5 per box (but quite a lot though)

Later we tried wantan mee at 冠记 (which was apparently pretty famous) but the Klang ones taste better le...

At a show-offy random note I got bored and sketched the cover girl for Reader's Digest (cover girl sounds so fashion mag-y). My very first complete sketch (see how bored I am? SEEE??)

Took me around half an hour to complete... I think I made her look 50 years older o.O

Boredom + Exasperation + Worry + Feeling Romantic

1. Boredom

Try spending the next 4 weeks at home and being assigned to do nothing except some simple house chores and spend 90% of the time studying. Like I'm under house arrest or something. Aung San Suu Kyi you are such a strong, resilient woman.

2. Exasperation

Enough said.

3. Worry

What if I flunk my exams? Worry in decreasing order: Physics Bio Chem Maths Stats

4. Feeling Romantic
Just finished watching The Notebook (adapted from a Nicholas Sparks novel) and darn it made me cry like a korean soap drama! Not a really original screenplay but still... movies featuring old people in love usually make me cry. I don't know what's the problem with me T.T

Sorry for the extremely emo and totally unlightening post... It's really tough to get inspired staring at my aldehydes and ketones and carboxylic acid and alcohol all day (and forget them the moment I start doing my past year questions -_-")

Friday, April 10

Just finished watching the complete Season 1 of Heroes! And suddenly my life feels so... empty. And now I'm staring at my half-closed door in hopes of making it close (yes I suspect I have telekinetic powers)

Plus I miss college + friends already! It's been just a little more than a day since I last saw them (excluding Suat Hoon who came over for piano just now).. We're having study break till mid of May, which is when AS exams start! (though I doubt the "study" part of the break; except last minute ones of course)

Not trying to act cute here, I was caught off guard okay

The ever-optimistic Lih Yi :) Miss your trademark "noises" and phrases! 不要害怕 :)

Mama trying oh so hard to suppress a laughter and Kay Kay looking "friendly" XD

Wan Ying n Bee Shuang-- enjoy life back at Kedah & Taiping!

Kay Kay with Chai Cheen...

Our post-exam de-stress therapy at Neway (no more student price already! we had to pay around 20++ per person o.O)

doing emo pose again

Visited sweat at Sunway Medical Centre; she had serious food poisoning but thankfully she's back home now :)

Gotta find something to distract me now... Lest the paranoid in me flares up again...

Self Indulgence

Yay our final paper on Physics was finally over on Tues! Right after that we celebrated Bee Shuang's SUPER belated b'day...

Some of the videos we took that were supposed to be performances (eg talent shows) to entertain her... But most of it looked like "ss" videos... So much for the inner actress in us :)

Mama's clip (her talent: laughing)

Kay kay the F1 driver

Me with less "obstacles" in life... -_-"

and OMGOMG Heroes Season 1 is just sooo good! I know I'm terribly outdated..o.O

Taking a Break

Yesterday we went to Take a Break (Opposite Old Town Subang, around Taylors Business School) for lunch; The best thing about the place is that they provide UNO, poker cards and even the long forgotten Jenga! (aka UNO stacko)

Reliving our childhood memories~

Mama worried at the precarious state of the tower of blocks; we screamed when it wobbled and got annoyed stares from neighbouring tables and guys imitating our squeals, but something tells me if we weren't all so self conscious they would want to play too :P

Okay this is AFTER we cheated; we just couldn't bear just letting it all topple down so we tried to stack it as tall as possible; note the evil laugh from Lih Yi

And to curb the daily monotony we started a new game; inspired by an activity I had in Form 2.

Just grab a paper and pen, and you can begin! but it's a group activity kind of thing...

Get different people to write these details: (in chronological order)

1. A male name
2. A female name
3. a place
4. what are they doing
5. He says "....."
6. She says "......"

So it's like the first person will write down the name of a male (anyone will do! but if it's a friend etc it'll be funnier). then fold the paper so the 2nd person can't see the male's name, and simply write a girl's name... and continue likewise. So every detail is sort of disconnected and sometimes it produces hilarious effects!

An example:

Ah Loo &

were in a hotel room

slapping each other's faces

He says: I went to the hospital yesterday

She says: Your armpit hair is so sexy...

He says: Mine is the longest.

She says: I'm starving.

Finally the jumped into the sea.
