Bon Odori 2008 (Part 3)

Is it weird to attend the Bon Odori festival, take pics and movies, then upload them onto the PC all on the same night? I sure hope it doesn't make me a person with no life outside the blogosphere :P

Just fyi, Bon Odori is actually a Japanese Buddhist Festival celebrated annually to honour the dead... but has pretty much evolved into a cultural event, and is estimated to bring about up to 30,000 each year! Pretty amazing huh?

Well there were no flyers or announcements about this event at ICSJ so I thought there would be not much people who would know about it... but it seems that Taylors and Inti Nilai even have transport from the colleges to the Panasonic Sports Complex where the fest is held! Talking about good service...

These are some (of the many) pics to fill you in... in case I'm boring you out...

~Let the dance begin! We were actually encouraged to follow suit so all of us danced like weird ducks with fans at the bottom of the stage~

~the programme listed on the complimentary japanese fan given while entering the stadium~
~guess what? the same fest that i went to years ago... OMGosh I have the same fringe! But i used to be so much cuter...~
