I'm such a slacker.

Seriously. I wish I could compartmentalize all my thoughts, feelings into different sections, because I really don't know where to start.
  • Taiwan was fun fun fun! Shopping was great, (maybe my next post will be a proper recommendation of places to go in taiwan) the friends I've made were awesome and so enthusiastic! Plus the food, OMG. If I didn't practice self control I'd be so obese by now T.T
  • I've not been reading books lately, I feel so empty and hopeless. What is my problem?
  • Worked as a kindergarten helper for a week now. The work's not bad, but taking care of kids can sometimes be pretty physically taxing as well, since you still have to keep an eye on them 24/7. But then again they can surprise you with their cuteness! ^^
  • Just came back from edu fair in KLCC. Now considering unis that have never crossed my mind! Haha time for more research =)
There are two things I dearly miss right now, which is 1) Taiwan 2) College. I wish I could do it over and over and over again. No wonder kids like merry go rounds ^^

Off to look for movies on PPS! Hopefully it'll get my mind off all unimportant worldly matters o.O

Decisions, decisions, decisions

As you might've seen, our Melaka trip pics has been all over facebook so I'll just upload a couple of nice ones ^^

A LEVEL

The next time we'll really meet up will be in next year while getting our A2 results *sobs* And btw congrats to the super super smart Bee Shuang who's going to UK some time before X'Mas for an Oxford interview (for Medicine! OMG) Good luck ya, all of us have faith in you! We are all prepared to organise a farewell for you to UK already haha XD Must remember us lo when you get over there T.T

Anyway might be working as a kindergarten helper starting next year; the pay is pretty low but honestly I'm totally inexperienced with kids (since I was the one doing all the crying and not the caretaking o.O) so maybe this job will make me more maternal and less of a baby myself =)

Sis is coming back with bf tomorrow! So probably more outings, more movies and more delicious food ^^

A Mountaineer's Journey

It has been 4 months. 4 months that I have been away from the comforts of my home, and into the unknown, into working life. (ok maybe it's a tad bit dramatic... :P)

I've gained a lot, e.g. in terms of:
i) knowledge (esp computer skills and customer service)
ii) interpersonal skills (how people can sometimes be hypocrites at the workplace..not everyone! just some of them...), and also...
iii) weight. (seriously! with meals at odd hours and bosses that keep on belanja-ing you, it's pretty much inevitable... :)

anyway to cut things short, these are a some pics I took while working at Genting...

~*Me and my assistant manager, Jade (who has been promoted to manager! congrats ya!)*~

~*from left, Aileen, assistant manager, Mr. Wong Yoke Onn, manager, me (staff..;P), Mr Peter Leow, manager~*

~*Staff hostel lobby...*~

~*Staff laundry area*~

~*Candy Thong, my colleague, and I... pretty, isn't she?*~

~*Yoke Peng, my badminton and karaoke "kaki"... will definitely miss her..*~

~*from left: Serene Seah (GSA), Veron Wong (GSA), Jacynta (Assistant manager), Mr Lim Dow Fong (assistant manager), me, Yoke Peng... At Be A Star Karaoke ..^o^...*~

These are be memories that I shall treasure for the rest of my life. My feelings ah, really cannot be described into words (sorry for the cliche) so I really thank God for giving me such a good opportunity to learn, to live, to experience.

My dear Genting pals, if you're reading this, do take care, stay strong, most importantly stay happy... :)

Love,

Erin aka Xiao Mei Mei

A comparatively un-emoish post (I hope)

"I actually managed to survive, out of home, for A MONTH already. I still can't believe it."

If you happen to spot a petite, nerdy looking potential beauty (i'm just making it easier for the talent scouts... eleh... jk; can't you even let me hope???) walking around (probably not alone; my sickness is still not at chronic stage... yet :P) shopping malls uttering this (about to be extremely popular) catchphrase, it's probably just Librainy. Please say hi and offer words of encouragement like "WOW!" and "I can't believe it too! You really made me proud..."

It could probably manage to make me fly higher into the sky, since I'm on top of the mountain now already.

See? I'm crapping, but at least I'm in a happy crappy mood, and not in the emo crappy mood, as in my last post...

Ok so back to Earth. (boring...) Life has definitely changed since the 1st day of working outstation, away from everything familiar...

Frankly speaking I haven't met any mean people in my workplace yet... Weird huh? I thought there were going to be lots of office politics and everyone had to fake it or break it that kinda thing... But it turns out that my colleagues are all really nice, even too nice for me to blog about (because everyone likes a happy ending for themselves ONLY and like to listen to other people's scandalous soap-opera like endings... am I not right? So if I blog about something tragic then everyone will be interested... humans are humans I guess :) )

So, FYI, I work as a Telemarketing Assistant (a newly introduced position, btw) and the job scope is pretty simple... I call guests up, inform them of some of the privileges we offer them e.g. free rooms or free show tickets etc. and do the booking for them if they're interested. The office is inside the casino, by the way. So I walk thru the casino EVERYDAY... (sorry, i just had to brag about the fact that I, Librainy, entered the casino at the age of 17! Hah! )

Work is pretty much routine but it's the guests' responses that are interesting, 'cause each of them will have different ways of replying... besides work, we get to have free accomodation (which is pretty good, btw) and 1 free meal during working hours (pretty much like home-cooked food... yummy...) It'll really be an experience that I'll cherish, and by the way for most of the jobs they do supply uniform, so you won't need to get a coat etc worth RM100++...

So that's all (the promotion that I'm gonna do for Genting)... I'm going back to work on the 9th, btw, currently on CNY break (at least I don't miss out on the angpows! Hehe...)

Away from home

yes you've heard it right... ms. librainy has officially left the comforts of her home and i'm now working in genting...

now at genting cyber cafe, RM4/hr, living life pretty miserably...

ok i'd better stop emoing.

anywayz things here aren't really that bad, just that the feeling of being away from home isn't as easily forgotten as i thought...

there are facilities here, don't get me wrong... there are gymnasiums, libraries, canteens, etc... life is bearable, but the thing is i'm so far away from my friends and families...

yeah it's something like I went for a voluntary national service. I'd better not get it next year or not i would be self-punishing right now.

see? i'm such a bad condition i'm crapping in front of the whole world.

my post has never ever been this disorganised... i want to say stuff bout my work, my hostel, bla bla, but it's just too much to be put into this post and I had just paid 2 ringgit to add another half an hr to finish this post.

this is my life, for now.

ok i'd better not make it too miserable lest my family reads this, so yay! working is pretty fun, you get to meet new ppl, learn office politics, know when to speak and when not to, and just enjoy the whole experience...

by the way, you guys can go to my facebook account to check out my china trip pics... i was rushing to go genting after the china trip so i had practically no time to blog on it...

ok then. hope i'll update soon, and hopefully i'll sound happier.

that's all for now.
